In The Beginning

If you have access to this blog consider yourself privileged. Either that or you are a hacker and shouldn't be here at all. But if you have been invited... you're in the circle, and welcome.

I don't know how this will pan out as I'm preparing this on the fly. As with most things I do in everyday life, I frequently review the things I've done to determine whether I could have, or should have, done anything differently. And as for the things I say, there is many an (early) morning where I think - did I actually say that? Aging, in a degenerative sense, is an issue and maybe that's a significant cause. Simply being older may also be the reason in that I sometimes don't give a stuff what people may think. But I am striving to be a better person...

But this blog will not illustrate that at all! For the intent, at least initially, is to get used to this confangled technology. I look forward to melding into the blithering blabbering human mass at international airports with their oversized headphones, smartphones, tablets and dreadlocks. I want to be able to master the constant updates of my travels, not so much because what I have to say will be insightful or remotely useful, but solely because it means I am travelling with my beautiful wife while you suckers seek to exist in the drudgery of your everyday lives. And I want to regale you with photos showing me eating and drinking and laughing and bungy jumping.

While I can't promise there wont be the occasional nipple shot (a la Malaysia 2011) I will try to keep it all clean and inoffensive. But does anyone give a shit if I don't?

So, onto the U.S of A. The Big Apple. D.C. The birthplace of the Big Mac, Budweiser, bourbon and baseball. I can't wait. Strap yourself in for what should be a frenetic and fun filled ride - for me, if not for you.
